Even in its 36th season, The Simpsons is still finding ways to keep fans engaged. First it was the fake-out series finale season premiere, then we got an episode that randomly brought back a character who most fans totally forgot existed, and now, well, it’s unclear.
Producer Al Jean recently posted an image from this coming Sunday’s episode, intriguingly suggesting that it will “solve a mystery” that’s been puzzling him “since the beginning of the show.” Presumably he’s not referring to the unsolved case of Smithers’ fluctuating skin color.
When It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia arrived on the Abbott Elementary set, did the family-friendly ABC sitcom have a production assistant specifically assigned to clean up Danny DeVito’s beer volcano?
Earlier this month, Rob McElhenney and Quinta Brunson officially announced the upcoming crossover between It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Abbott Elementary that they’ve been planning ever since the viral and horrific Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience first inspired the two to team up back in January. However, the two defining sitcoms from the City of Brotherly Love are polar opposites in terms of their tone and their moral compasses, a point that fans brought up as soon as the first on-set photos emerged showing the Paddy’s Pub gang standing next to the teachers and staff of Willard R. Abbott Elementary School with nary a katana or a revolver in sight.
