Us Weekly may be about to untether some rage, and it will know no bounds.

As any It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Abbott Elementary fan with an internet connection likely knows by now, the two standout comedy shows from Philadelphia are about to begin the first part of their two-episode crossover event when the Paddy’s Pub Gang joins Abbott Elementary’s mid-season premiere on January 8th. The respective casts of the two smash-hit sitcoms are currently on the interview circuit in promotion of the momentous occasion, and, over the weekend Abbott Elementary star and fan-favorite Lisa Ann Walter was kind enough to speak to the gossip outlet Us Weekly about her exciting experience working with the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast.

The Simpsons isn’t exactly known for its airtight continuity — none of the characters age, Springfield’s geography has randomly shifted around and Homer and Marge somehow started a family in both the early ‘80s and mid-‘90s. Somehow, it seems that nobody ever got fired for these blunders.

Of course, The Simpsons isn’t a show that anybody watches for narrative consistency (or if they did, they probably bailed after Smithers randomly turned white). That being said, the show has typically been pretty attentive when it comes to tracking characters’ personal relationships. From Mrs. Krabappel’s long-running relationships with characters like Principal Skinner and Ned Flanders to Kirk and Luann Van Houten’s on-again, off-again marriage.
